Purée

I’m on my second week of purée and my third week post op. Has anyone find that they are able to eat a little more than 2oz? I can maybe manage 2-3 sometimes 3-4 but no more. Has anyone has the experience? Also maybe cause I’m not eat as much protein that probably allows for this ? Just curious.

Congratulations on your surgery.

Try to stay close to the volume of food your medical team recommended. Remember you’re still healing & don’t want to put too much strain on your new tummy. While it can be difficult to meet your protein goals in the beginning as long as you’re making an effort & are getting closer to goal you’ll be ok. And, yes, protein rich foods are certainly more filling.

I felt like I could eat more than they suggested until I got to soft foods (that’s when I first felt the restriction). It’s best to just stick to what your team recommends though as you are still healing and don’t want to push it.
