4 days Post Op hunger

Recommended Posts

I'm feeling hungry and I think it's because I'm a little bored. I have noticed, at the end of the night, the roof of my mouth is raw. I don't know if it's from all of the sugar-free things I've been trying/drinking.

I'm on the smooth Soup stage, Clear Liquids, full Protein Drinks. Could I have a scope of Peanut Butter? Other than my mouth issue, I feel great.

Here's a funny thing I learned. Most times that 'hunger' you're feeling is actually thirst. Try drinking a little more and it should subside. Also, the roof of your mouth being raw may also be because you're dehydrated. It happens.

Also, I wouldn't try Peanut Butter. I was told to avoid all nuts and nut butters for the first 3 months because your stomach will not like it. At all.

If you were prescribed an antacid, take it, even if you don't have heartburn or acid reflux symptoms. My surgeon that acid in your stomach can mimic hunger and it has certainly help me!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
