Why do you feel the need to wear Shapewear?

I never wore it after WLS (but i did after plastic surgery), but I would think after your incisions have healed up and your scabs are gone (which takes around four weeks), you should be OK to start wearing it. But you might want to confirm with your clinic.

I am a little over 6 weeks out and I know this is weird but I workout in Shapewear. Not necessarily Spanx but I have a non name brand panty girdle (i'm ol' skool) I got it from Catherine's. If I workout without the panty girdle, my stomach is on hang time. My incisions have healed and I first wore it about 4 weeks out.

Ms.Mocie I just love my spanks I always have I have a stomach I feel better when it’s tamed lol

I hope you come to the point were I am now. I always used slightly to small tank tops under everything, because I feelt it "controlled and squeezed " in a bit. It also hid the camel toe obese people often get😩 I also thought it hid my stomach more.

Started working out in just t-shirt and sportsbra two weeks ago, also see that the camel toe is no longer a huge issue. I have never feelt so FREE :)

Don't put a new stomach in Shapewear, wait unleast until healed a bit more 4-5 weeks at least. If you really want to feel the "tightness" why not try my tip, buy a tanktop in 2 sizes smaller. It gives the feeling of controll, but not squeeeeze you.

Nah, not weird (i think, lol). I work out with an “abdominal binder” too, one that is geared for exercise. It also helps with back support with lifting, I find.
