If you use popsicle molds, what are your favorite ones? I'm overwhelmed by the choices on Amazon! I was hoping to find one that will make the typical Popsicle brand popsicle shape but I'm not having much luck so far. I'd like to make my own because I don't really care for the sugar-free Popsicles. I'm also hoping to make pudding pops if anyone has a hint on a good way to make those!

I have some cheap ones I got a grocery store a few years ago - they're still OK - but I bought these on Amazon a few months ago and like them even better:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDXHSZ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

the two ways I make them:

1) Greek yogurt mixed fruit or SF pudding mix

2) SF pudding mix mixed with unsweetened almond (or cashew) milk + 2 or 3 scoops of Protein Powder

neither of these recipes are super low in calories (but then...I'm in maintenance), but they have a fair amount of Protein in them, which I need...

Thank you, I will give those molds a try! I'm glad you reminded me to put Protein powder with the pudding pops & popsicles. I'm such a newbie that I may not have thought of that. 🤭

I edited the above because I left out a word. "Recipe" #1 - I used Greek yogurt mixed WITH fruit or SF pudding mix (I left out the word WITH in my original post)

I bought some red, white and blue ones on Amazon a few years ago I think they were called U.S. kitchen (even though they are from China). They are large and have a drip tray so the mess is limited. I usually just make them with sugar free Hawaiian Punch or cool aid. It's a nice evening snack.

I thought I’d see how they do with the Walmart Water powder packs. I like the idea of the sugar-free Hawaiian Punch or kool-aid!

I eat Outshine bars with no sugar added. Really good 25 calories each.

I haven't had those in ages - but yes, they're excellent!

I ended up having the surgery on March 1st.

June 17th is almost here. Picked up everything I need for my after surgery needs. After work will go home and finish packing a light overnight bag to make sure I don't forget anything. And the final countdown begins. Not nervous at all just looking forward to the call for my arrival time.

Had surgery on Thursday the 17th. Everything went well and came home the next day. I have been on two protein shakes and liquids/broth each day since but will finally graduate to pureed foods on Thursday. Been walking and doing my breathing exercises as recommended. No pain that Tylenol can't ease but only needed it twice since I've been home. Don't bother taking extra stuff to the hospital as you will not use it. No time to read or talking as you will be sipping all day long and walking. And they will be giving you pain meds so you will be sleepy. Definitely take lip balm and wear loose clothes to the hospital and wear the same ones home. No need to overpack. Good luck everyone who will be going next. YOU GOT THIS!!!!

I am 19 days post op and I am still struggling to drink the fluids. I am not even able to drink the protein shakes their now nasty to me , I tried the protein bars & it didn’t end well. I have chest pains & I can barely eat. I am weak & my mouth is always dry, and feeling nauseous. Can anyone provide any advise. At least I doing the vitamins. Recently my chest & stomach have a burning sensation.

I had a very difficult time finding protein shakes that tasted okay and didn't make me sick. I ended up drinking FairLife Core Power protein shakes. I love the chocolate (tastes like chocolate milk to me). I like to blend it with some ice and PB2 powder (or real PB) to give the smoothie consistency. I also found that if I put Panera's Turkey Vegetable soup through the blender, I could eat it. I survived off those two things. My chest pains were from the gas, which was incredibly bad and took so much longer than I expected to resolve. I'd definitely stay away from bars or anything solid until you've conquered liquids. I'd love to tell you the dry mouth will get better soon, but it didn't for me for a very long time (months). The plus to that was that I drank a ton of water. The good new is I suspect you are close to the light at the end of the tunnel on this first and hardest part of the journey. It gets SO much easier after this part.

I am 2 days post-op and really struggling with everything. My depression isn't helping any. I couldn't even finish one shake today and swallowing meds is just excruciating.

I am a week post op and I honestly feel like crap! I keep feeling so nauseous and I can’t get my self to drink a good amount of water. I honestly feel very regretful today. When does it get better?

By the third week you will feel some relief. Don't push yourself too much with quantity that first week. I just made sure to keep sipping and walking which helped me feel better.

I hear you. This has been the hardest day for me so far (2 days post-op).
