Why am I not losing?

I am feeling a bit discourage right now. I am only a month post-op but this last week and a half I have only had a 1lb drop on the scale. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am only consuming between 400 - 600 calories as per my post-op diet but I am frustrated that the scale is not moving. I feel like my body is fighting me every step of the way. Is it not really early to be experiencing a plateau?

  • The first plateau happens at about week 3. Keep following your Dr.'s plan and the weight loss will pick up again!

Famous 3 week stall that starts anywhere in weeks 2-5 and lasts from 1-2 weeks. It'll pass.

What exactly are you eating in regards to protein and carbs and sugar?

Have you transitioned to soft foods or normal foods? A lot of people stall as they progress through the post op phases.

I started transitioning to solids as of the 24th. So for protein I have my yogurt, cheese, milk, chicken, fish. Although the meat has not sat well. Cooked vegetables and a few rice crackers. Not many carbs. I have a hard time getting through my protein to ever make it to carbs.
