I am having sinus / allergy stuffy head, runny nose, etc. 2 days before surgery.

Wondering if I have to postpone? I sure hope not ... disappointed.

call the Dr. Also see if you can get yourself unstuffed, I think they only postpone if u have a fever. Rest, water, warm tea, vics vapor rub, extra vitamins, maybe some zicam too. I hope everything goes on as scheduled!

Extra Vitamin C too will help stave off anything more. Best of luck!

I'm just finishing up a terrible cold and a terrible case of impetigo on my nose. My surgery is Nov. 18 and I had many of the same fears you do. I've been sweating it out, but after a few days the sinuses were much better. First, call your clinic and inform them of the situation. They will have suggestions. See if your doctor can prescribe an antibiotic. Things that helped me greatly: Saline nose spray, Vicks Vapo Rub at night, Emergen-C on top of my pre-op vitamins, rest, broth with ginger and garlic, broth with spicy Thai seasoning.
