Can you feel two stomachs?

Recommended Posts

I have no idea if it is even possible or if my mind has been playing tricks on me, but shortly after surgery, I swear I I could feel both my pouch and the remaining stomach. Even now Im sitting on my couch and my stomach part is gurgling a bit. Have any of you experienced the same thing? Is it even possible?

//feeling like im halfway to being a (cute) cow!

What I could feel after surgery for a little while was that the food was sitting in a really small, very specific part directly under the xiphoid process.

After a few weeks this feeling returned to the feeling of the food being distributed in the upper part of the abdomen so the feeling of "full" changed back to where it was sitting before.

That was a very interesting experience and one of the few things I can still remember about how it felt to be "post-MGB" early out.

not me - I don't feel any different than I did before (well, other than I'm not obese anymore, of course - but my innards feel the same)

I do still feel my pouch and yes you stated the location perfectly. I feel when Precious Pouch spasms, extreme pain before I regurgitate, and sometimes it is distended enough it feels like festering boil. But the remainder of my natural stomach? It doesn't make its presence known, almost like I was post-VSG and its gone FOREVER. But I have right subcostal pain almost on a continual basis. My Dr Noria states that is my ulcerated jejunem that I feel. 😪😣😪

My stomachs still gurgles after a year and half. No sure what that means. It doesn’t bother me. It just gets noisy sometimes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
