Eating Is a Chore

Hello All !

I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and for the most part I’m doing fine. However since being on solids from Day 15 , I find it very hard to eat 3 4oz meals per day , I vomit after drinking Protein Shakes and I have acid reflux after eating. Anybody else have this ? Does it get better ? Sure I look better on the outside but on the inside I feel terrible. Please tell me it gets better !

P.S. I’ve lost 25 lbs in three weeks ! I’ve lost 50 in total since 1 month pre-op !

Feel free to follow me on IG and i’ll do the same for support ☺️

It's going to take a while for you to get used to your new smaller stomach, so it's okay that you're not getting in all that food at this point.

I myself haven't experienced these problems but I have heard of others in my support groups who have. Some said the ready made shakes such as Premier protein or Muscle Milk did not agree with them They switched to the powdered versions such as Syntax and found it easier to handle. As for the acid reflux the surgeon prescribed a medication for them. Good luck with your success and future good health.
