I still drink a Protein Shake every morning because it's easy and I like it.

Protein Shake in decaff coffee until you tire of it and you feel hunger return. Then decide/worry what to do about it.

Going into your day with 30g of Protein under your belt frees you up to make your protein goals from food the rest of the day.

First of all, what is "stage 3"? Programs can have up to four or five, or just one or two (I only had two).

Presumably, you are onto something soft and mushy, which could include Protein Shakes (not a bad idea to help get in your Protein and save experiments for the rest of the day), but can also include such Breakfast classics as oatmeal or cream of wheat. I often just had some dinner leftovers

Follow your surgeon's plan for sure. They are all different. I got decaff coffee the same day as my surgery as part of my Clear Liquids.

Try soft scrambled eggs. 1 egg is 6 grams of Protein. And have a shake afterwards.
