What does "watch your personals" mean?

Ok, so my pastor's wife has a friend that has the lap-band. Her advise to me was to "watch my personals" and that I would know what that means.

Ok I've been banded almost 5 months and I have No Stinkin' Clue what she's talking about.

Anyone know?

No idea.. ask them what it means? I wanna know how to watch my personals!

I ran the phrase on Google, "watch your personals." I found one item. A person was giving another person advice on taking a trip to New Orleans, and said: "Stay sober and watch your personals, meaning your purse, wallet, jewelery, etc. ."

That phrase makes sense in that context, but I'm not sure how it relates to getting the band. Maybe the idea is you lose weight so things like your pants and wallet and jewelry start falling off?

Who knows.

If this was said before you were banded, she may have meant to "watch your personals" while in the hospital. In other words, don't leave a ring or money, etc. where someone could take it. (?)

Thanks for y'alls thoughts. I have never met the lady but I will try to pass on a message asking for some clarification. :P

Ok, I'll bite...

Maybe she meant for you to keep an eye on your husband/sign. other?

Maybe this woman has lost so much weight that she considers herself quite the catch, and quite the chaser??

Weird comment, either way....

ok, i know nothing, and i have not lost enough weight yet to safely guess this, but if someone said that to me, i would think about my personal places..lol..i guess i have my mind in the gutter. but you read about so many people needing a boob lift or a mons lift because their personals were heading south after weight loss..

i know it is probably not what she meant, but i had to put what i thought.

Okay, gutter or not, I read all the post and I thought about them all especially what "bandster_1007" said. LOL:)

Did you tell her that you had the lapband? And what gave her the right to think that you'd know what she meant considering it was her friend, unless she's undercover and it was actually her.

Maybe that was the night I missed and they mentioned that at one of my support group mtgs. LOL if so we all missed a mtg or two. That's too funny. Please, now you have all of curious. Hurry and go to church to find out.

I will - I promise to share what I find out. I'm even more curious now after reading some of these responses :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it might mean, "your boobs and twat will get saggy so watch out!"

What they mean as far as I know is to watch how much personal information you give on any website including this one. You shouldn't make public any personal information like where you live, your date of birth or your personal email address (unless you are sure of the person) or anything that might give someone a clue as to how to take advantage of you in negative ways. There are people who come on here to scam other people as sad as that is. They try to keep it under control but in reality, they are out here in cyberspace just waiting to get anything that will help them hurt you.
