I can totally sympathize with the weakness. What has helped me is Powerade. It tastes much better then Gatorade and it has B vitamins ( B3, B6 & B12) which helps with energy. It also helps with your Electrolytes. I have been drinking 1- 32 oz. bottle everyday along with 80oz. of water. I have found it really helps me. Just a thought. It is on my pre-op list of things to drink.

I don't know what those drinks are I live in Ireland we don't have those here but thank you anyway appreciate the reply

Hi there! Yes, normal and does improve with time. Since you are in Ireland and aren’t sure what powerade and gatorade are, the equivalent would be something like the drinks athletes use to rehydrate after workouts/marathons/etc. They can be in sugar free varieties, with many different flavors and colors. The sugar free versions work double duty to not only meet your fluid requirements but also replenish electrolytes and hopefully perk you up a bit. I hope this helps!

Did you drink a lot of caffeine daily before the pre-op? If so, that's probably one of the causes of your headaches. It can take several days to get rid of caffeine headaches.

Hi no I never drank teas or coffee prior to the pre op diet

im on day three...of my two week diet.. n my headache is crazy.. so tired..n stomach pains.. im starved. :(

Being on day 6 means that you are one day away from one week down, great job! You got this! Can you have sugar free jello? It would be something to break up the monotony of just protein shakes and water.

Hopefully it passes soon for you

You can try Lucozade if i remember thats what is in UK, I know they have that in UK...it rehydrates you =)

I'm on day 2 of 10. I can at least half sugar-free Popsicles and jello. You might want to call your surgeon's office and ask if you can add any of these into your diet. They surely don't want you to be too weak going in.

day 5 of 14 i have lost 7 pounds.. still hungry n stomach hurts at times.. today i had ehh whites. there carb free almost i was hungry. :(
