Was sleeved in July, but just wanted to tell you all that you got this. It's going to be rough at first but when those times come just remember that the recovery process is only temporary and when you

October 3rd! I'm nervous! And also excited! Btw, thanks for labeling this thread "2018." There are two other October threads that don't have the year marked, and I really hope some of us stay in

I've started a list to help people find their surgery buddies. This is supposed to just be sleevers, but I bet some others snuck on. It's supposed to be all the October sleevers, but I'm 100% sure I m

I had mine on Monday and I was in hell Monday and Tuesday when meds wore off but was able to control it with pain meds. I’m home and still very sore but manageable with liquid Tylenol and ice on and off
They did but they’re not helping all that much.. it’s my first night home and I just can’t get comfortable at all! I wish this would get better faster. Maybe I’m just being dramatic
I haven’t tried ice yet! I’ll do that! Thank you!!!
You’re not being dramatic. It’s a major trauma to your body and everyone has a different tolerance for pain. Try the meds, stay hydrated and walk as much as you can (this helps with the pain a lot) and rest as much as you can in between it will get better. I’m only one day ahead of you and today was the best day I’ve had so far. If things get worse or unmanageable call doctor. Hang in there and feel better!!!
Thank you so much! Exactly what I needed to hear because right now it feels like it will never get better! I hope your journey is going great as well!
I understand. It’s an emotional rollercoaster as it is and add pain to the mix and it can really get you down. One day at a time and hopefully we will all be looking back on this in a few months and say, “yeah that was nothing”. Ha ha

Thank you guys for all your support! Extremely grateful to say that I have had a smooth recovery do far. Minimal nausea and pain. Some soreness when getting up and down but its tolerable.

WELCOME Oct517 and aapb and Deanayeah to the Post-Op side if town. Your steps to a Good Health Return have started!?

I got my surgery date today for October 12. I am having pre-op meeting tomorrow. Just 1 day of liquids - a day before surgery. I am very excited and anxious at the same time, although I am very glad that I do not have a long wait to scare myself out of the surgery.

I thought the same thing, lol. Too long to think about it before hand wouldn't be a good idea for me either. :)

Deanayeah don’t worry it gets better!!!! I was able to sleep on my side last night finally and it was definitely more comfortable. Just hang in there
Just had surgery 10/2. It’s painful but I’m recovering. Also not very hungry. I just made myself eat a spoonful of sugar free Jello and my stomach was like NOPE!

awwwwwww, take it easy, it will get easier.

My surgery has been moved from 10/9 to 10/23. Started the liquid diet for a day and a half when I found out it was moved. Just another hurdle but it will be okay!
