I did. No issues afterwards. However around 3 weeks after I developed acid reflux. They said it was very common after having the sleeve done. Daily meds for it and it helps

Funny thing was I did not know I had a hernia. I felt fine before surgery and after. I only stayed on pain meds 2 days. Get up often and walk as soon as you can. I never really had gas pain but I pushed my self to walk at least 3-4 times around the hospital floor.

I don’t have a surgery date yet. I’m hoping for late July. I only have to do a 1 week liquid diet. I’m not sure I could hang in here if I had to do 2 weeks. I’m in southern IL.

I had a "big" (my surgeon's word, and he was doing 4-5 surgeries a day, so I figured he'd seen a few) hernia repaired during my sleeve surgery. The only symptom I had was burping. I recovered without incident and feel fine.

I had a hernia that I didn’t know I had prior to my sleeve fixed when my sleeve was done. I have since had to have my gall bladder out and the same hernia repaired again. 1 1/2 yrs out from my second repair the hernia is back again and I’m having a lot of acid reflux. Dr. Is recommending a bypass.

Yeah it is, in my family. as Hank Williams Jr sings Its "A Family Tradition" we must be born with a. larger than average d3fect hole. Mine should be repaired with my RnY in July ???
I wonder why Mary Poppins? Did he give a good why? I have heard of people getting a revision from sleeve to bypass but it,never could happen the other way!?

The dr said he prefers to do RnY with patients that are 300+ lbs. I am currently 5’ 4” & 221lbs. He doesn’t feel that the rerouting of intestines is not necessary in my case.
