@darlingla Try a higher quality protein, making sure it's listed as a whey isolate, to avoid the lactose. You could also try the plant based proteins to see if that helps you out any. Isopur

6/13/18 was my gastric bypass surgery. Today is day 1 starting protein shakes. I'm an avid Premium Protein user with no issues pre.op. my first few sips burns my stomach and immediately crampy. Does anyone have this issue or any suggestions?! I don't have any problems with sipping on water. Possibly any suggestions for alternative protein supplements? Maybe I'm lactose intolerant now. I need any suggestions and are much appreciated. THANK YOU!!
