Comparison

So I’m just curious for anyone who knows people who had surgery as well, do they compare you to them. I’m about 8 months out and a couple pounds from 100 down but my friends who are only a couple months compare themselves to me and it really makes me mad. I have goals just like them, I struggle just like them and I’m wishing I lost a certain weight too. I really try to be a guide to the process but it’s starting to upset me. What should I do?

Oh girl, don't stress - your weight loss for 8 months is amazing!!! I hate it when people try to make this some kind of contest - we all need to just be cheerleaders for each other and not try to 'one

We're all different and have our own quirks and idiosyncrasies. We have similarities but no two gastric-sleevers are EXACTLY alike. Your friends probably need to get over this!

You are doing great! Do not listen to these people. My problem is hearing "I know someone that had that surgery, they regained all the weight". Makes me want to say STFU! Last thing any of us need is to be compaired with other people. Keep up the good work!
