Does the attention bother you?
Well said ?

Do what I'm comfortable with or do as surgeon says?
I did sleeve, same problems. I had options of all three but was not comfortable with having my guts rearranged. Doc gave me the choice. Have lost 150 # in 18 months and all weight issues are now gone. You are correct when thinking doc knows best but what are you comfortable with? Your body your choice. Can recommend you research all options. I did and chose accordingly. Good luck!

Staying accountable and emotional eating
I am a boredom eater. I still fight it but it’s not so hard anymore. Every time I think I want to eat ( and I know I don’t) I get busy. 18 months post op it’s up to me to control. Luckily I am never hungry so I follow a schedule for eating and drink water in between. This has worked well so far. I am also chained to a desk 5 days a week ?. I have heard over eaters anonymous really helps. Good luck!

Best decision I have ever made! Yes it was difficult the first couple of months but it gets better. Almost 18 months post op and have lost half my body weight. Feel great, no more meds and energy thru the roof. Hang in and keep up the good work!

Comparison
You are doing great! Do not listen to these people. My problem is hearing "I know someone that had that surgery, they regained all the weight". Makes me want to say STFU! Last thing any of us need is to be compaired with other people. Keep up the good work!

How slow are you eating?
I chew every bite 30 times (I count). The slower I eat the better I feel after. I don't care if everyone else finishes first. If I eat too fast I feel terrible for about and hour after.
-
Not eating enough?
How do you feel? Trust your surgeon and NUT. Try to drink more water, one sip every ten minutes. I had the worst time drinking water for the first 8 months after surgery. Had to force myself all day long.
