Vitamins

Wondering what type of multivitamins people are taking after gastric sleeve. My surgeon said that I will need to take a b complex along with the multivitamin as well...so name brands for both would be appreciated. FYI I’ve tried the Bariatric advantage vitamins and they just don’t sit well with my stomach!

Hi!

I had my surgery 2 days ago. My vitamin regime consists of: chewable prenatal vitamins, and chewable centrum. When I’m able to eat solids again, I will include the other vitamins I was taking pre-op: calcium, vitamin D, and a multivitamin. When I am 6 months post op, I plan to revisit my nutritionist and get blood work to see if I have any deficiencies.

I was told to take prenatal +27mg of iron calcium citrate +D3 vitamin
D3,2000 IU vitamin B1
Vitamin B12 1,000 mcg this one once a week
Biotin 1,000mcg everything else once a day

I have recently started taking Whole Foods Prenatal Multivitamins. I love them because they don't upset my stomach like almost every other multivitamin I've taken. I can even take them on an empty stomach with no problems. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074KKKMBQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also take Calcium + Vitamin D, Biotin, and have gotten B12 shots from my surgeon's office, and will be changing that to a B12 nasal spray.

I’m using patchmd patches- multi, b12, and biotin
