April sleevers!

I got approved!!! My doctors assistant put in the paper work on Monday and I was literally approved the next day 3/13/18! Holy crap this is actually happening. My surgery day is April 25th. I took off of work and will be back on May 1st.

Anyone have advice with going back to work after surgery?

I've been approved for my Sleeve and my surgery is on the 16th! Excited but nervous.

Hello,

My surgery is set for April 18th and is also the first surgery of the day at 7:15am. I've been at this process for 10 months now since June 22nd. My insurance is really strict and I had to complete counseling, nutrition and diet program, labs, cardiology, pulmonary, gastro clearance, be treated for H. Pylori, etc. I've been a go getter from the start and completed everything 4 months ago however the openings for surgery have been slim and my surgeons went on vacation for what felt like forever.

I've been doing Premier Protein practicing for my 2 week pre op liquid diet. I've been calm, organized, and persistent this entire ride. However, now that I've completed all of the steps and only have waiting left, I'm starting to feel the nerves for sure.

I wish you all the best of luck and am here for anybody who needs support!

You’ve got this. You are an example to all of us. Did not forget. This is to a healing and healthy lifestyle lifestyle that you want. You can do this

April 17 assuming I can lose another 10 pounds in the next month. I'm cleared by the surgeon, cardiologist, endocrinologist, psychologist and dietitian. Still have the endoscopy, but had one last year with no problems. I've been so busy worrying about the pre-op diet that I haven't had time to worry about the surgery.

I start my 2 we diabetic liquid pre op diet on the 20th. I'm going tomorrow to get all my juices, broth, Chrystal light, and another big container of protein powder so I have 2 different flavors. My sleeve went from 7:30 to 7 am on the 3rd. I go on the 20th for a pre op class, registration, and my upper GI. I'll be so busy on the 20th I'll forget no food. Which will be OK until dinner. But I'm super stoked.
