For some reason I thought I would only be getting three cuts but I woke up with five. Of course I didn't notice this till after I was home so I didn't ask the nurses or my doctor. Is five cuts normal?

I was banded on Monday October 22 - and I have 5 as well. I was told I would have 5 - so it's normal.

I have 4 cuts, 3 very small (less than an inch) and 1 for the port which is about 3 inches long.

I woke up with five as well, but all of them are tiny except for the port incision.

Five cuts is generally the norm. Sometimes they can hide one in your belly button (as is mine) so you really see only four incisions. I know he made an incision in my belly button, but I swear I could hardly see anything.

I havent had mine surgery yet but my mom has and she only has 1 cut about 3 inches

Is there any scarring?!?!?

I have 7 of them. They had a hard time since I have had many abdominal surgeries in the past, so they needed a few more access points.

I have 6 - 5 of them are really small and the port is about 1 1/4 inches long.

Hmmm, I had my gallbladder removed at the same time and ended up with 9 incisions. Felt a bit like a Ginsu knife commercial gone wrong!!

I've got 5 - four of them are so small they could easily be mistaken for being part of my stretch marks and my port incision is about one inch long. I already had a freaky belly button scar courtesy of an emergency appendectomy earlier this year, so I'm glad they didn't go through that scar and make it any worse.
