November RNY updates

Well, I'm 2 weeks out (RNY Nov 27), feeling really good. I did have 1 episode of dumping, NOT fun, but I look at it as a learning experience. Don't go 5 hours without eating, you will eat too much :o ! I have been taken off all the diabetes medication, (Yay, that was a huge motivator for this whole process), and am monitoring my blood pressure. It seems consistently low, so I may be off those when I go back to the Dr in January.

I'm starting my 2nd week of pureed foods, doing well, although it is a bit boring. I am down 22 lbs as of today !! Woo Hoo !! I already feel like I'm winning !! :D

How are the rest of my November buddies doing?

Congrats Wanda! I had mine on 11/29 and am down 25 lbs today. Agree that purée is boring. I’ve started making egg drop soup, which has been a great change from the norm.

Holy crap you superlosers!!!! That's an amazing job you're doing there!!!!! Super congrats to you both!! So happy for you and excited to hear updates. Thanks for starting this thread. I hope all you losers check in and inspire us today! :460_circus_tent::780_sparkling_heart::452_medal:

Well I'm 2 weeks out today. No dumping but pain from eating to much. I've only lost 10lbs and still on diabetic meds.

Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

You are doing great !! 10 lbs in 2 weeks is fantastic, and i'm sure the diabetes will improve. Keep it up !!

It will get better, it's true what they say, every day you feel better. Just keep sipping, hopefully that will get easier soon !! Congrats on the 12 lbs, feels pretty good!!!

@smv328 Sorry you're still on diabetes meds! ((hugs)) Would you mind sharing your pre-surgery blood sugars and post-surgery blood sugars? Are your diabetes meds reduced? How long have you had diabetes before the WLS?

TIA sweetie!!

Congrats to everyone! You're doing great!

My 22 lbs included the 13 I lost in the pre-op, so it looks like we are all on target !!!

Nov28 and even tho I was not weight in my surgery date ??‍♀️ .. so I count from my last weight in.. which a week after my liquid diet .. I was 281 .. now I’m 257. Since two days ago. Might be less now. So i have lost 24lbs

I had mine on 11-29. Down 17 lbs since surgery and 61 lbs since the start of my journey. I’m feeling ok. Purée is boring but I get to move to two weeks of soft tomorrow. I went out shopping and got a little weak.

Congratulations to everyone on the weight loss!!

Good Gawd! You guys are bustin' a move!!!!! Congrats ya big losers!

Nov 20. Down 20 lbs. I read another post about eating enough and I may be under eating. I should be on pureed foods, but really only have those a few times per week. I am satisfied with 3 premier protein shakes a day. I think I need to move on and add more foods....
