  • Start counting your calories. You are eating too many for your metabolism. Go back to basics... 60g+ protein, 64oz+ fluids, vitamins. Cut out white flour and sugar.

  • Are... are they shakes meant for bodybuilders on a bulk? There's no way you'd gain 20 pounds on that diet, the calories are sneaking in somewhere. Make a MyFitnessPal account and log every

  • If you have gained weight on that diet then go to your doc. Unexplained weight gain could be from a medical condition.

  • Go back to food tracking,
  • Make sure you are getting your 64 oz of water,
  • get back to doing your 10K steps or whatever exercise level you are at,
  • cut your carbs,
  • increase your protein.
That's what I do when I want to really drop the lbs.

This is the general advice usually given. But the OP, should she ever return, says she doesn't eat any carbs and does all those things. So we are trying to get more detail from her to help her specifically.

If she is doing all those things and still gaining, she should visit her doctor. Probably not a bad idea anyhow.

This is kind of random now and maybe also off topic but this irks me since a whole while: general advice is given.

What happened to "diagnosis before treatment"?

When it comes to problems with gaining/stalls/etc. that have likely to do with food intake (or maybe supplement intake as well) I think the first advice should be that evaluation is necessary, i. e. "food tracking" and if there is a problem identified: "why is that problem there?".

Everything else comes later.

I think she comes across as straight talking, no nonsense helpful.

We all respond to different things. Those kinds of responses were exactly what HELPED me in my early days. So I am glad there are all kinds of responses on here.

It's a bulletin board. Short of people being overtly nasty, which she is not, we all need to learn to take what's useful to us and leave the rest! Just my humble opinion.

Thank you. I won't bother to respond. If people think I'm rude they know were the block button is. But I have no intention to take 'advice' on how I come across over the internet lol. [emoji4] I know I mean nothing but positive vibes to everyone. And I have no reason to be rude to strangers I don't even remember after I've spoken to them.

I agree with Jess.

Thank you :)
I don't.

However, one can't order people to write in a certain way as long as they don't violate the board rules. If her style is bothering you, put her on ignore.

You can do the same.
