The first week it was very tough - couldn’t do it. I got so worried I phoned the surgical nurse and she told me to keep trying and do the best I can. She assured me it would get easer... and it did

  • Impossible to be honest. For about 2 weeks I couldn't get anywhere near my goal. All I did all day was sip, sip, sip and it was exhausting. It gets better. Now I can drink 32 ounces in a couple hours.

The first week/two weeks I was probably getting around 35-45 oz of fluids...nowhere near 64oz

Hang in there, it’ll get easier.

At times especially if too soon after food my liquids can cause me to vomit. I try and have my main bulk liquids at late night after meals. I give food priority as I can’t seem to get much in

Anyone try this gadget? It's a hydration reminder bottle attachment.

Hard, just take it slow and sip [emoji6]

I'm 3 days post op (gastric sleeve) Today is the first day I think I will be able to meet my liquid requirements. No way it was happening the first two days. I learned the hard way trying to drink too fast. Dry heaves hurt one day after surgery!!!
