So… I got my surgery date and my surgeon just submitted my paperwork to insurance. Do people usually get the date before you actually get approval? Did they have to pick a date so that they could send it to insurance along with all the other documentation?

I will not get my date until I get my approval... but all insurance and programs are different... congrats on getting your date. That is my birthday!!!!

My doctor's office actually gives a date first as well and then it submits the papwork to the insurance company.

I got my date before my approval which they say takes 2 weeks. My date is Nov 27. Just after thanksgiving.

I got my approval yesterday, no surgery date yet. I'm with Kaiser.
