I am 5 weeks post op and so tired all the time. When will I get my energy back? I am so tired of being tired.

The surgeons office should know what all is next. and should help you with filing your insurance.

Just 2 more days till surgery day. Suddenly I am terrified. I have no doubt I want this I am just scared of the pain. I am in recovery from addiction so i will not take pain meds home from the hospital and I am scared I will need them. Or suffer from to much pain.

I am on the second week of my pre op diet and the scale isn't moving... I am following exactly like my doc said Nd I keep hearing about these 12 to 20lb losses and I have only lost like 3 lbs... Surgery Monday, 2 night hospital stay, What do I need to take?? I dont wanna pack much but I figure I need slippers and chapstick. Anything else?? i am a terrible packer.

Sugar free jello is my friend right now. My program allows me as much of it as I want. I have started mixing flavors to keep it interesting. I am on day 4 of all liquids day 10 of preop.

not my insurance but i have heard of it being this way... more and more insurances are getting rid of the medically supervised diet requirement. Yes it should make it easier you will likely only need a letter of necessity for your PCP. However, your surgeon may require more than your insurance like Psych clearance. Congratulations on your decision and best of luck in your journey.

My suggestion would be to be prepared to answer questions and reassure them that this is the best option for you. You might be pleasantly surprised. I did not keep this a secret from anyone. I told everyone of any importance in my life and almost everyone has been amazingly supportive. My husband was a bit skeptical at first but once i explained it to him and he read some literature on it he has been totally on board. The only person who has been negative was my father in law and I just ignored him (he is always so negative anyway).

I am on mine now for surgery the 8th... the first day was easy the 2nd through 4th have been hard but today I seem to have had a breakthrough it has not been bad today. Just push towards the light at the end of the tunnel, and everyone of us will be great!!! Best Wishes fellow baripals

I chose RNY because my surgeon told me tgat with my T2D that is what he recommends... because with RNY patients have significant reduction of insulin resistance b4 significant weight loss. Without T2D I would have prolly gone with sleeve. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
