  • Recovery room after surgery was rough. I threw up a couple times which caused me to pee the bed. How mortifying. I was groggy and could not wake up. Slept for 12 hours. Once I woke up, I felt great.

Can someone show me the diet they put you on. I need to loose weight for health reasons ( copd) without exercice. I watch the show Dr. Now 600 lbs. Can't seem to find his before operation diet except for a bit of what BabyFat23 posted. Thank you for your help and best of luck to all.

@downandoutmy diet that I am on is called New Direction. I think you can only get it from your Dr or someone who uses this program you can't get it from the store. Good luck.

Just checking in to see how everyone's pre op diet is going? I'm on day 3 and so far so good. I keep hearing it gets easier as the days go by. I'm allowed hard boiled egg whites and I think that helps a bit. Though my surgeon didn't give me a limit, I allow myself 3 egg whites a day. I haven't worked out while on this diet though :( I feel like it will make me more hungry. Any thoughts? *Nov 9 Surgery Date*

@CamillaCallieso far I have stuck to it. 15pounds down. Don't ask how I am getting through this but I am. I don't see it getting any better but what can I do. I don't workout I walk a lot. If we get pass this test we can pass anything after. Nov 8th can't come quick enough.

15 POUNDS HOLY MOLY! That's amazing!!! It's been less than a week hasn't it? I hope I lose 15. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow. I know, I feel the same way. We'll feel so much better when the surgery is behind us and we can focus on getting our life back!

Hi Camilla! Doing great so far, it definitely gets easier. I am on day eight and it feels pretty normal now. Going to a party later, that will be hard cuz there's going to be candy and alcohol everywhere. Wish me luck! Oh and I'm down 7 pounds.

Congrats, that's awesome! I hear ya on the party. I have one tomorrow and I'm going to have to fake a stomach ache to defend why I'm not drinking.

My surgery date is November 27 at NYU Winthrop (Long Island, NY). My wife is having her surgery on Halloween! Been watching her struggle with the two week liquid diet. I start mine in two weeks. Good luck other November Sleevers!!

Hi mine is Nov 8 as well. Good Luck! I’m a little nervous but excited too

Ugh, I know it sucks. Mine starts next week and it sounds awful. Can you have any sugar free jello or sugar free popsicles/water ice? Maybe that can help. It's definitely not easy, everyone says it's one of the difficult parts. But every day down you're THAT much closer to your surgery day! You can do this!!!! Sending you all the good vibes and positivity!

I start my pre op Diet next week too! We can do this !!!
