Let's try this. What are you eating? If you are eating lean protein and veggies, then the amount really shouldn't matter. I haven't thrown up, dumped, or found a food I couldn't eat at almost 4

Why are you already trying to eat more ? I think you need counselling these surgery are not miracle workers. You need to follow the plan.

I don’t dump after gastric bypass, which is more typical than those that experience dumping. But you shouldn’t expect or rely on dumping to help curb eating bad things.

And if you’re eating too much you should weigh your food very closely and don’t chase trying to feel full. Food should be about nutrition and health, not entertainment or a hobby or replacement for your feelings. Are you working with a therapist to navigate changing patterns and behaviors to facilitate weight loss?

Good luck!

I haven't thrown up, dumped, or found a food I couldn't eat at almost 4 years out. This surgery isn't supposed to be a diversion from food, but a reset for food and your life. Eat nutritious, non processed food 90% of the time, drink lots of water, and move more, and you'll do just fine. If you are really concerned about how much you can eat, weigh and measure your food so you won't overeat.

The tool itself is really only temporary in the grand scheme of things. Over time it becomes less effective, then it's all on us. Practice good eating habits now and take advantage of the honeymoon period while you can.

The only thing that has ever caused me to "dump" was sugar in the form of candy, cakes, ice cream and crap. Things I rarely ate even before surgery. What is your definition of "dumping"?? Could it be youre not getting the "stuck/pain" feeling after consuming a larger amount, say a pork chop or steak?
