4 days post op

Thusday 9/5 they performed gastric bypass on me.

Two hours later I was walking and the pain was controlled by me with a PCA.

I arrived home on 9/7 after I drank at the hospital 21 oz in 9 hours. No nausea, no vomit, no pain.

I am drinking water relatively easily and I tolerate it pretty well. Around 4-5 oz in 15-20 minutes. But then I have to stop and rest for 30-40 minutes.

Proteins is more difficult. I can have 1 oz in 15 minutes and then I am full (I guess it is "fullness" it is a more sensation of pressure, very light pain on the left upper quadrant of the abdomen)

So I barely reach 35oz a day and I don't reach 20g of proteins.

So far no poop, just gas. Little pee but also I don't drink a lot in a day.

When I will be able to drink 1 oz gulping it? When I'll be able to drink more water?

Hello i had bypass surgery on 9/1 and what i think works for me is taking small sips sometimes it takes me like 30 mins drinking like 15 oz of the protein shakes. its very important to reach your protein goals and also the water. I really dont know when you can gulp 1 oz ?
