My Friend's Weird Rumour About WLS

So, ever since I've been planning to have bariatric surgery, a friend of mine told me not to do it - that it would make my head shrink like in the movie Beetlejuice. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, it's this scene:

I've shown her before and after pictures, I've pointed out the fact that my surgeon's office publishes a calendar of before and after pictures. I've even asked my surgeon about this crazy rumour, even knowing and prefacing the question with the fact that I know that it is a rumour. Yet, she continues to persist with this craziness.

I guess that could be the case. After all, when the circumference of your waist stops being equal to the height of the Girl Scout who rang your doorbell to sell you cookies, I guess some things might look bigger in proportion.
