Why do I do it to myself?

This is a spin-off of the accidentally deleted thread "Imposters piss me off." ^_^

Every so often, I go over to OH, even though I hate it, just to see if anything useful has been posted. Afterwards, I mentally slap myself. Every. Single. Time. It's a damn good thing that I had my account there deleted. If I hadn't, I probably would have been banned by now. Either I read a post by SandyR (I try to avoid them, but some sneak through when I'm not expecting it) that makes me want to slap her and shake the people that actually listen to her or I run across a thread containing an online WWIII over some stupid thing. (Today it was one where someone had the audacity [gasp!] to say that they didn't feel a lot of sympathy for people who buy something they really can't afford, default on their loans, and subsequently have their possessions repo'd - apparently that didn't go over well.) :speechles

Every time I go over there, I wonder why I did. But I guess I continue to think that there might be some redeeming feature to the forum (every so often, a decent bit of advice gets posted). :phanvan

Actually, she joined in 2006. And if I didn't have so much restriction, I'd make popcorn! That is, if I had it in my apartment. :heh:

D'Oh! Guess my heads not on right!!!

October 2006 Guess that's a year ago, it's 07 now, huh? ;):faint:

Just making sure, this thread is in R-n-R, right? Good, so we're ready for the dr*ma.

Nancy B:dunno, looks like skmsu recently joined here. Hopefully she'll be back and can explain...

I don't want to cause a stink, but I had to join to post this. I am just perplexed as to why she would say this. I don't know any other Nancy B's on OH, but maybe there is.

Are you talking about me? Nancy B from OH? Please explain!

I do remember reading a post where you had suggested to someone who thought that she was experiencing constipation and gas that she do a “cleanse”. I can’t remember if the post was from you or the other individual thanking you for your advice, but in either case those posts are not there now. If this was not the case my apologies. Have you ever suggested to anyone on OH that they do any sort of colonic or cleanse?

And you had to find out about it somehow, too.

Well, hopefully skmsu will pop in.

I've read here for a long time, but couldn't quite figure out the format, so I never officially joined until last night. I'm still not quite sure I understand how this board works...I'll keep experimenting. What does "multi-quote" mean when posting a reply?

No, not me. Maybe the other Nancy? D? I figured you must have me confused with someone else. I don't really know what a colonic is, but it doesn't sound pleasant!

No problems...just didn't want anyone to think this was me giving wacko advise.

No offense, Nancy, but this post by BAShinn indicates otherwise:

I will say that much of it can be attributed to MOM and Nancy B's suggestion (thanks, Nancy...it WORKED). I'm still a bit sore, but my side feels better. I am going to make it through the weekend and see what happens. If I'm still sore, I'm going to go for an unfill, as suggested by Dr. C.
She'd previously made a thread about being constipated and in pain after a severe PB session. And of course, as anyone familiar with her knows, she eventually wound up having to have her band removed.

I'm sure the reason that no post can be found with your actual suggestion of an enema (otherwise known as a colonic) in it is because you made it through PM or email, not because you went back and deleted it when you first read this thread. Right, Nancy?

Sorry to disappoint you, but you are incorrect. B is a friend of mine and she was having trouble with constipation. We talked about something quite different as a remedy, which have nothing to do with anything mentioned here. I gave her the remedy for what I did for my babies, totally safe and didn't involve any medications or cleansing. It had nothing to do with her erosion, which did come soon after, as we all know. Someone might have suggested the other treatments, but it wasn't me. I know for a fact that she tried what I suggested, and it worked.

What was it that you suggested?

Kind of embarrassing! Glycerine suppository...totally harmless. For babies, it's called Babylax. You're not trying to attack the problem by going through the stomach and bloodstream, taking pills.

Good to know, but I always worry that any suggestion that might delay someone seeing their doctor in hopes that a home treatment might work could be harmful indirectly.

So any opinions if Sandy will ever get her license back? From either state? ;)

You are so bad! I predict it will happen as soon as Larry Craig gets his guilty plea changed :eyebrows:

Any bets that she stops claiming she is licensed in another state under a different name?
