Hey guys -I had surgery on 4/19, and am doing pretty good - not much pain. I do have swollen, red, aching arms and a slight fever. I called the surgeon and he didn't seem concerned. Just told me to take Tylenol and ice & elevate the arms but it's not helping. Anyone else have this?

A fever under 101 is normal the first week. The swelling in the arms is probably due to the IV fluids being pumped in. Not sure about the redness.

In general, things should continue getting a bit better day by day. If you start feeling a lot worse, get checked out.

Ok thank you. I really thought I'd do a little better post surgery than I am. I usually have a high pain tolerance, but I'm struggling today. Thank you for your response

I gained six pounds in water weight after having my lap band removed and converted to sleeve Monday. I lost all the water weight plus five pounds as of yesterday. I was swollen too but more in the legs. My belly is still very swollen but it's pretty normal I think just get your fluids in and you'll feel better. Congrats!
