Not trying to be smart, but your question doesn't make any sense. You're asking when you're going to have surgery after scheduling the surgery? Do you mean the approval process from insurance?

im sorry didnt mean to confuse you, i was just wondering after the insurance approves the surgery does the surgery happen soon or later , just trying to learn more about it , I go to support groups and everything just trying.

Gotcha. A lot of it depends on your insurance company. Mine typically approves within 2 weeks, but I got caught up in the end of year rush and it took about 4 weeks to get approved. Once I had the insurance approval I was able to schedule my surgery within a month of the approval. Lot just depends on how far out your doctor is booked. Your doc's office should be able to give you a decent estimate of time as they're typically familiar with various insurance companies and their approval turnaround.

Mine was 30 days after insurance approval. Which was 30 days after my surgeon called to schedule my RNY surgery.

thankyou so much , i've recently changed my mind in which one i was gonna get but i decided on the sleeve because they said since im only 19 its better for me , thank you for helping me with this information :)

My insurance approved 2/24 but my surgeon did not get the approval letter until 3/17. I was schedule on 3/17 for surgery on 4/12. Could have been sooner but I had work travel plans.

I was approved on March 2nd and my surgery is scheduled for March 30th. Those weeks in between have me time to do the last requirements and testing for my surgery (final medical clearance, bloodwork, Upper GI, etc)

mine was 3 weeks after approval because i had to be on a preop diet for 2 weeks
