I am 4 weeks post op from GB. My period has lasted 12 days. Wth? I have a 1 month follow up in 3 days so I will ask the surgeon but anyone else have long periods ? It's not heavy but it's consistent & annoying. I'm on birth control already. Could it be wacky Hormone levels due to surgery ??

Yes i have the mirena and haven't gotten one in months, right after surgery i bled for 3 weeks. It sucked but surgeon said its normal and its a side affect of the anaesthesia. Also when you have rapid weight loss your hormones are changing throwing things off

Omg.
I am 8 days postop and my period is lasting so much longer than usual and way heavier. I actually got my period the night of my surgery..... lucky me hahaha

I just started at the end of day 2 post op. We'll see how long it lasts... I'm so not looking forward to a long period.
