  1. Me too. However some of my slow loss is due to high carbs(65 -80 Gms ) per day. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Thank you. I have a feeling I am bit of a slow loser due to eating more carbs than I should. I am going to try going back to less than 40gms of carbs to accelerate my weight loss. I have lost 32% of my excess weight. My goal is to lose 80% of my excess weight within 2 years. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  4. Biotin will NOT impact hair loss. It's a placebo effect. Bariatric surgery causes Hair loss temporarily. I cringe every day at the amounts I am losing but as a scientist I know the reasons & know it will grow back. However it is not easy to watch it fall. Hang in there everyone & focus On the Lbs falling off for now. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  14. Yes totally normal to have 2 to 3 week long stalls. Keep your protein high, carbs low & excercise regularly & it will budge. I must admit that even though I know these stalls are normal, they mess with our psyche !!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I am soooooo glad I found this thread. I have been beating myself up for having lost only 50 lbs at 4 months especially when everyone seems to be losing more. I also did some real soul searching and identified some areas where I haven't been as disciplined as I should be such as 60 min of cardio 5 times a week( I only do 30 min 3 times/week) & my carb intake has been erratic & high. Anyway thank you for all your stories that encourage me & lift me up to be my better self !!!!!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. I feel your pain. I have lost 50 lbs in 4 months & compared to everyone hete that is slow. I too go through frequent stalls but my stalls come with 1-2 lbs of weight gain. I have identified my issues to be lack of Consistent excercise. I need 1 hour 5 days a week instead I'm only doing 30 min 3 days a week. I need to stay under 50 Gms of carbs daily instead I am at 75 Gms of carbs any given day. Are you in a similar pattern ??? If so make small changes & see if it helps !! 17. I am 4 months post op & my hair is falling out like crazy. I have a lot of hair so it may be ok but it's definitely falling put & I hope it stops soon !!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. Absolutely had to make a conscious decision to log everything in so I could see the pattern learn from it and try not to repeat it my fitness pal has surely been a great tool to help me learn my patterns. I didn't want to log in yesterday but I did it and I learned it was the frequency of eating. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I absolutely felt the restriction...I ate about 8 times instead of my usual 3 & that's what racks up calories. I didn't plan ahead of time so I was hungry & the memorial day Beach picnic spread was available ...I chose carbs. I did complete my 10000 steps though which included a 3 mile walk on the beach. 21. I cheated hard core this weekend. I have lost 50 lbs In the past 16 weeks & it's been a journey of ups & downs & it will be for the rest of my life. So this is not a cry for help or advice just a confession. I inhaled ever carb in sight this weekend. Today I ingested A total of 1300 calories, 150gms of carbs & only 40 Gms of protein. I didn't usual 10000 steps. I am back on the wagon tomorrow but what a fall. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  25. I had posted last week that I fell off the wagon but I did not qualify what I meant...do here goes I literally 900 calories per day instead of my usual 600 cal and I00 gms of carbs instead of my usual 50gms. I confessed, repented and got back to protein & excercise........ well I gained 5 pounds in 1 week.....which is mathematically impossible as I did not consume 20,000 additional calories in a week....so what gives? My Overall weight loss is 42 lbs in 3 months. At this point I will take a stall but gain ???? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
