I will be needing a filter for blood clots I have heard horrible stories and would like some one who has gone through it to please comment my date is March 21 2017 and this is really stressing me

So sorry you are stressing. I have never heard of this. I hope someone on here can provide you with some insight.

I've never heard of the filter, but I had my surgery yesterday and had to have a shot in the stomach for blood clots. Small needle, didn't hurt at all!

I don't have it but my mom had that filter for other issues she never had a problem with it

No filter...but, I'm on blood thinners...I've had clots and one broke off and lodged in my heart....I had heart revascularization surgery & that's the only thing that saved me...only steps from a filter. This is my main reason for WLS surgery.

I had a bloodclot in my leg that broke off and went into both my lungs. Currently on Pradaxa.
