What foods don't agree with your stomach?

Anything really sweet makes my stomach cramp (which I am thankful for!). And for whatever reason, cooked spinach hates me. Lol

    Does anyone eat corn tortillas?

I've tried the carb balance Mission tortillas when doing shrimp tacos. I usually can't finish the tortilla because I'm stuffed after I get the shrimp and broccoli/carrot slaw in.

    Slider Food

It is different for everyone and for me (7.5 months out) some items have changed from being filling to 'sliding' over time. I've had protein ice cream and it isn't a slider for me, it actually sits heavy. But I haven't had it in a long time either. Salad on the other hand... I feel like it never feels me up unless there is dense protein in it. Crackers (rf wheat thins and multi crackers are all I have tried) are a slider and chips (even protein chips). Popcorn too (skinny pop is my go to for an occasional 'splurge', but I have to be strict about measuring it or I would eat the whole bag!!) Sweets make my stomach cramp. Cake, cookies, etc.. even just a bite...are a no go for me and I'm very thankful for that!!! Just be diligent in measuring!!! 'Good' food can be sliders too, but you still need to be careful to ensure you are hitting protein and water first and foremost!
  4. I have become obsessed with shopping lately... I haven't had 'options' in YEARS!! I was super lucky at Belk recently. I probably overbought, but found jeans/pants for $5 and dresses for $7-9. They are having their red dot clearance sale! I bought snug fitting items in hopes of them fitting in a few weeks. I still have a long way to go, but I started in a 30/32 and I'm currently in 16-18w....I even fit into a Misses XL maxi skirt that was tight, but forgiving of my rump/hips/'pouch' I've been looking at ThredUp, not sure about it yet, but could possibly be an option to consign the barely worn items once they become to big. Anyone have experience with that company?
  5. Not sure what you think about 'used', but I've been eyeing ThredUp. Mainly due to prices and having to buy new, smaller clothes more often.. (yay!...but it gets expensive)

    LADIES ONLY- monthly issues.

I'm on birth control that takes my period away and I still bled for weeks at a time the first three months. As you shed fat, hormones are dumped into your system. Everything seems to go nuts! I even had acne for the first time ever and it was on my neck! I wouldn't worry to much about it, especially if your OB isn't!

    Protein shakes

I do the GNC lean shake, Snickerdoodle flavor. I'm at month 4 and it is still going down smoothly, very filling and tastes great! 25g of protein, 170 calories and 3 net carbs. I did try the caramel premier shake and it was good too, but I love the snickerdoodle gnc shake best!
  16. I also have the frozen pack of Edamame with sea salt. I haven't tried since my surgery, but loved it before!
  17. Pork Rinds Frigo - Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar cheese sticks Quest Protein Chips Oikos triple zero yogurt

    Gastric sleeve and period

I am on a birth control shot that stops my cycles completely, but I spotted for 6 weeks after surgery. Hormones go nuts as the weight drops!

    Thoughts and fears

I think who you tell is your business. It's your life, you body, your future! Not telling is not being dishonest in my opinion. As far as energy, I had my sleeve on a Wednesday and was back to working on the following Monday. (Sedentary job here too). I was only tired the first two days and I feel the majority of that was due to anesthesia and the lack of sleep I got the days leading up to surgery. I was around 366 at surgery (392 at my highest) so quite a bit larger than you... But once I dropped down to around 350, my energy definitely went up and I started moving more. I started walking before surgery and try to get a minimum of 1.5-2 miles a day. I wasn't expecting to run a marathon immediately , I just know I have to keep moving, whatever that may consist of. I will say for the emotional aspect, my hormones have been a roller coaster at times. I was told this was due to the release of hormones as the fat drops off. I went through an acne stage which I have never dealt with before and I have had some major mood swings from time to time. More impatient/angry than depression for me. I'm reaching 3 months out next week, so no expert at all. Just sharing my experience so far!

    I have to eat carbs

I eat reduced fat wheat thins and carb balance tortillas occasionally. They haven't set off any type of trigger and I was a HUGE carb lover before.

    Protein bars?

There is a 25% off coupon for these on Amazon.

    Please help! I'm nervous....

I really really like GNC's Snickerdoodle Lean Shake! 170 calories and 25g of protein.

OK Ladies, kinda embarrasing question for you all

Haha. I'm paranoid like that. They could have lied to my face and I could have been showing the world everything, but it made me sleep better leading up to the surgery at least 'thinking' I was going to be covered! Lol
