STARVING!!!

Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I had lapband surgery on the 10th of this month. My recovery is ok, I have not thrown up and I'm a little sore but I am starving and have a massive headache!! I don't know what to do. I feel like I've made the biggest mistake. I'm on a 7 day liquid diet and I'm constantly starving. I need suggestions or advice PLEASE!!!

Hello!

ive been feeling the same... first few days were ok but now im constantly starviiiing! Soup would fill be but id quickly feel hungry again. Surgery day was sunday 12th

Maybe try a soup that's a little thicker. Such as potato soup without chunks. That's what I did after my band to get me through.

I find tomato soup with some black pepper seems to curb my hunger. My belly just sings all night in bed even after 3 litres of liquid thoughtout the day....

Sf jello,sf popsicles, sf pudding, protein shakes, applesauce, these were all approved on my liquid diet.

I'm experiencing this today!! I am 5 days post op today and HUNGRY. I've been having tomato soup, slim fasts shakes etc but today I blended up a tin of chicken and veg broth and it seems to have worked....for now!

Protein, protein, protein. My dietician made sure that I was having at least 3 protein shakes a day, or putting protein powder into my soups. I promise it will help you feel full!

Had my surgery 4 days ago and yes, I've been quite hungry, too. I go to the doctor for post op tomorrow, and I think I'll get the band adjusted then and be able to start eating solids then. I know that after I start on solids, I should only be eating three meals a day, so I kept thinking that that's how this time period was supposed to be, too. I emailed my doc about it, and he said to not deprive myself when I feel hungry. I think the liquids just go right through the band, which is why so much hunger. At least I'm hopeful that this will result in some weight loss!
