I'm in week 3 and the scale goes up and down .4 to .8 pounds. But since I've ready so much about the stall I'm not in a panic. I know I'm eating between 500 and 600 calories per day and I'm getting in close to 60 grams of protein and getting in around 48-64 ounces of fluids. So I'm going to keep going and be patient.

April Sleevers!!

So good to hear from you, Cass <3

I haven't lost anything in three days. I think my body is picketing this whole low calorie/weight loss thing and is trying to wait me out . Plus, I'm constipated again. I swear, this blows. I went out and bought my milk of magnesia and benefiber. I'm so done with this. I'm hitting the benefiber hard from now on.

How are you feeling, though?

This really does suck. Not the magic bullet I had hoped for. I'm so hungry all the time. And feeling down in the dumps now. I don't even know what's going on with my bowels. It's all a blur!! Hope you feel better soon. I really do!

I can start puréed foods on Wednesday and that will be three weeks of that. We can blended hard boiled eggs but they will not allow scrambled eggs over concerns we may eat the anover cooked/crispy part that could hurt the stomach. I miss scrambled eggs so much. I was sleeved April 26th.

So I have a friend that had VSG. Afterwards she took HCG because she was told that it helps with skin elasticity. Because you're already only eating 800-1000 calories per day. And she actually ended up having no loose skin. Has anyone else heard of taking HCG after the sleeve?

I'm hungry too sometimes when I'm probably really not. I know they call that head hunger, but also remember it takes a couple weeks, if not longer, for the brain to know that the majority of the stomach is no longer there. The brain is sending signals to you to fill the stomach up, thinking it's still big and empty. It has no idea that's it's now only 20% of what it was. It will pass soon.

It takes time when those nerves are severed for the rest of the body to get the message.

I had a breakthrough! In my previous post I've really been in panic mode about only losing 4lbs since my surgery date, however, my son came home from college for the summer and when he saw me he immediately commented on how much thinner I looked. I thought back to what the doctor said about losing inches sometimes instead of pounds and breathed a sigh of relief! Lesson learned! No matter what the scale says, remain confident in the process.

Indeed. Lifestyle changes won't let you down.

I've heard of all kinds of stuff with prevention of extra skin/sagging/etc. Since I have no idea if any of them are true, I'm just doing absolutely nothing about it.
