1 Day Post Op -- Hard Time

Hi everyone, I just had my surgery yesterday and was sent home this afternoon. I had neaseau in the hospital but they controlled it with IV zophran and fenergan (spelling). Ever since the car ride home I can't keep anything down. If I move the slightest I start dry heaving. I haven't been able to drink so all that's coming up is foamy. I called the on call doctor and they told me to take 2 zophran at once instead of one...and I am still vomiting every couple of minutes. MY stomach hurts so bad from heaving and I would like any advice!!!

I'm sending you a pm

Is it a dissolving under the tongue pill or the kind you have to swallow?

Also, that kind of vomiting is not good. You might have to go back to the hospital. are you on the West Coast? Can you call your surgeons office again? Don't worry about being a nuisance, just call. Does the hospital you had your surgery in have a bariatric unit you were on? You can call them. Or just go.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. My rny bypass was the tenth. What did you have? I would go to ER if it continues. You do not want to make things worse by dehydration. I had my surgery early in the morning of the tenth and went home late afternoon on the thirteenth. Prayers your way. Paula

Go straight to your bariatric team or if you cant then go to the ER, where I hope they will be able to help you. I really hope you feel better soon.

*hugs*

Zophran sucks. I make them give me phenegren it makes me sleepy but knocks out the nausea. Hope you are feeling better now.
