Blood thinners and period problem

Hi

Has anyone had this problem?

I had my sleeve surgery on January 9th and all has gone super well until Jan 17 and I started my period. I started soaking through super plus tampons every 30 minutes and soaked through one of my 87 year old moms super depends last night! I have talked with my doctor and he has taken me off the blood thinner until my period is over and told me to watch the bleeding. He said if it doesn't decrease I will need to go to the hospital so far still going strong. I need to call him back to see if I need to take any iron since I am bleeding so bad.

I have been so positive since everything has been going so well but this has brought me down a little since every time I get up it feels like someone has pulled the plug on a drain! I a still super happy I have had this surgery and I know this is just a littl hiccup along the way.

I was put on blood thinners for 2 weeks and ended up getting my period a week early. They also put me on Iron pills so I didn't go through what you are. I highly suggest you ask about the iron pills. I believe that's what helped me.
