When should I start taking Vitamins in pill form? I know the first week should be the chewable vitamins...but how long should I stay with chewables? Anybody have problems with vitamins in pill form post surgery? Thanks in advance

My surgeon told me chewables for six months before going on to a pill.

My doctor didn't give me chewable pills he gave me my Vitamins in pill form. The first visit I had after my surgery. And I'm around 3 and a half weeks. And I seem to be doing fine

For my Surgeon, he said chewable or liquid only vitamins for the first 6 weeks. After that pill form if i desired. Unfortunately i have always had trouble swallowing pills, but the last two years it has gotten increasingly worse. To the point that i nearly vomit when i swallow a pill or capsule, unless it's super tiny. So i stick to the chewables for now.

Thanks you guys!!!! How are you all feeling overall? How about hunger pains? Anyone feel they have been diminished compared to pre op?

my surgeon wouldn't let me take any pills till 3 months post op. Said that they can get stuck in the incision line in the stomach and cause an ulcer.

I am on Vitagene Bariatric Vitamins, chewables, for the first 3 - 6 months. not sure exactly how long. then they start sending me my pill form vitamins.
