  2. Thanks so much for the advice! I will start eating more calories and more often. (I have been going a long time between meals.) Lately I have been working 12 hours at work 6 days a week, and between that and all the walking I do, I think maybe my body is trying to tell me I need more to function.
  3. I do log all my foods into myfitnesspal and yes I do wear a fitbit. I really think I do indeed need to up my calorie intake, that may also be why the past few night I am waking up in the middle of the night hungry. Has anyone ever had that happen?
  4. My surgeon told me no carbonated beverages ever.

  6. Hi, I was sleeved December 22, 2016. I have lost 61 pounds so far. My surgeon recommends to stay under 20 carbs a day. I was fine with this until just recently. About a month ago I added walking to help boost my metabolism and make me more energetic. It worked...for a while. The last few days I feel like I have been hit by a bus. I usually do about 3-5 miles a day walking and the past few days I am lucky to do a mile. I feel wiped out, loss of stamina, no energy, just plain exhausted. I drink a lot of water during the day, so I know I am well-hydrated. My questions is...is staying under 20 carbs a day adding to my exhaustion? I take in a lot of protein during the day and hang around 600 calories a day. Is my calorie count too low? This is what my surgeon recommends, but am starting to wonder, am I walking too much for this low carb/calorie count?
  7. My surgeon only required a 1 night stay.
  8. Hi All! I am almost 4 weeks out and was cleared for Proteins like fish and chicken a week ago. Everytime I try to eat it hurts in my chest. Terrible, sharp pain which makes me quit. (I eat small bites slowly, and chew a lot.) The last few days I have only been taking in my Protein in shakes because of the pain. I feel weak...and discouraged as I haven't lost any weight in over 2 weeks either. I am scared I went through all this just to still not be able to lose weight...and be miserable. Any advice??
  9. It depends on how you feel. I didn't feel comfortable driving until about 2 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. My surgeon said 2 weeks.

  13. Mine was two weeks high protein and low carbs. My carbs were to not go over 40 and I was to only get carbs from vegetables. No caffeine and no carbonation as well.
  14. I am 3 weeks out. Lost 8 pounds on my 2 week pre-op diet and another 12.5 since my surgery on December 22nd. I lost that 12.5 pounds probaly the first week after surgery and nothing since. Everyone keeps telling me I am probaly losing inches now even though my weight is not dropping. My questions is if I am not really back at exercising...is it even possible to lose inches during this time when the scale refuses to move??

  20. I guess it depends on the insurance company. I have BCBS. My surgical coordinator turned my paperwork in on a monday and I was shocked that wednesday morning she called me back saying I was approved!
  21. It has been 3 weeks today and I have lost 23.5, but nothing for the last 8-9 days...guess I am headed towards the dreaded 3 week stall...but, it'll get moving again.
  22. It depends on your insurance requirments, but with me from consultation to surgery date was only about 6 weeks! (We were trying to get it done by the end of the year!)
  23. I brought only a change of clothes. The hospital had everything I needed!
  24. I only had to have one because insurance required it. My surgeon actually told me it was a waste of time in his opinion, but again insurance required it.
