  • The seeds pose a big risk of getting caught in your staple line. Wait a while longer on that. I don't know what hemp hearts are.

  • Maybe grind them up in a coffee grinder? That's what my wife does for her breakfast smoothie thing she makes. But she hasn't had surgery.

Me personally, I never had issue with either of those. But depending on how your surgery was performed your surgeon may want you to wait. That is something that the assistants at the office should be able to answer for you.

Hemp hearts are an excellent choice BTW!
