Drinking way more than required?

Hey everyone! So im currently 6 days post-op on a liquid diet. During my hospital stay (2 days) they had me drinking Water and Protein shakes. Every hour I had to drink 2 medicine cups of each (4 cups total every hour) and even that was HARD to get down doing sip by sip. But now I'm drinking that AND more within an hour feeling no discomfort and my sips aren't really sips any more lol I just wanna know if it's normal to be drinking alot more within the first week?

I will qualify this a bit, since I have a sleeve, and not the RNY. But I was just in my appointment yesterday, and the CRNP told me that I did not have to worry about stretching my sleeve in one episode. It takes time over several instances. I would suspect that even if it were easier with an RNY pouch, you don't have to worry about a single episode where you stretched it out like a balloon you blew up too far.
