I was wondering about you Night! I was sleeved the same day as you. I'm happy to hear you don't have any major complications!!! I had nausea the first day but luckily I have been fine with the exception of the lack of BMs!!!!! LOL Thanks for checking in. I'm glad to know things went well. Let's keep in touch!

This is to nursemichelle 7 you can have Protein shakes in your first stage if you don't you will feel really weak I had all of that I am on my second stage and I'm gradually getting my stomach up to 4 ounces as instructed it's taking a lot to do but I'm getting there but by all means get your protein in before all things...

I see my doctor Thursday. That will be day 10 for me and I expect him to clear me for pureed foods only. I do that for a while before graduating to "soft". What's driving me nuts is that I'm 8 days out and still 5 pounds above my pre-Op. Normal, I know. And, I'm obsessing. Its just frustrating.

I just think the stages and the time frame my Dr/ dietician have me on is going to leave me with digestion issues later. I don't have a follow up until Jan 13 and I was sleeved 12/20 almost a month and by that point I'm only expected to be still on the grits applesauce type foods

I had my surgery on Dec 21st. Outpatient so home the same day. The first night was HORRIBLE because of the gas pains. I was really good about sleeping for 2 hours and getting up to walk. After that first night, all the pain or should I call it discomfort compared to night 1 has been tolerable.

I am drinking my Protein shakes and broth. Getting in 60 grams of Protein a day and my 60 ozs of Water.

So excited for my journey and happy to have found people that are st the same stage as I am.

I do feel hungry, could be mental, but water or protein seems to satisfy for now.

Dang, my stage two only adds pudding, yogurt and shakes. Can't wait to chew something...

Hi guys!!! Did anyone have surgery on 12/23... That was my day, so I'm 4 days out, I've noticed I'm starting to GET HUNGRY, but it's hard for me to drink because it hurts, the pain is mostly gone, only when I use stomach muscles

My surgery is scheduled for the 27th. I am going on the liquid pre-surgery diet this Saturday. Only four days away now! So nervous and excited to get this done. Keep taking good care of yourselves.

How'd it go. I also had my VSG yesterday and I feel a lot better than anticipated

I can't lie - the first night was just awful. I vomited seven times! The pain was unbearable at times but it only lasted twenty hours. Now I am doing very well and drinking plenty of Gatorade and broth and cool fresh water. I even get to enjoy a popsical here and there. I am happy I got this surgery, and Doctor Covarrubias was a terrific, professional, gentle doctor.
