I've been on pre op for 2 weeks. Now my surgery scheduled for 12/17 will be postponed due to infection. Frustrated! Everything else lines up , job family kids etc.. Now I have to cool my jets . Need 2 weeks of antibiotics. Then schedule in the new year. Feeling down.

Hi, my name is Amy and I'm a lap band to VGS conversion. I've had the LB since 7/05 and it's been virtually useless for me as I've never been able to tolerate even the smallest of fills.

My LB is being removed in 2/12 and my sleeve done on 3/16. My insurance required a 6 month waiting period or I'd have had this done over the summer.

I remember when I met with my surgeon the first time, he was very kind and honest as well as funny. I see him again for my pre-op appt in January! The process moves quickly.
