  1. Hey, if there is anyone in the South Los Angeles, CA area who is in the beginning stages of their journey or will be having surgery soon and needs protein shakes, liquids, i have some I would like to give away. I have premier protein shakes in chocolate and vanilla flavors, I have a couple of containers of creamy soups in tomato and butternut squash, I also have Arizona green tea zero and a few bottles of vitamin water zero... if you are interested in any of the items please message me. First come. We can meet up. I overstocked prior to my surgery and would like to share with someone who may need these items. I also have broths as well, chicken, beef, and veggie broths. With love, Jenny
  2. I take Pepcid twice a day and that has helped me much. I also try to avoid any foods I know will cause it to flare up.
  3. Congratulations!!! And will be praying for you!
  4. Oh and I'm down 22 pounds since surgery!!!
  5. I had my surgery 2/20 I am doing good 2 weeks post op. I started my soft foods stage. I see my surgeon tomorrow. Everything seems to be going ok. Still working on getting enough protein and fluids.
  6. The only things I really used were my phone and my sleep apnea machine and underwear. My hospital had toiletries and everything I needed. I only stayed one night. I was in and out of sleep most of my stay when I wasn't walking. You don't need much.
  7. I hate taking crushed pills as well.
  8. I'm on full liquids. So I can have cream soups along with my liquids I add a lol protein powder in them to get the protein in. It's okay. Getting liquids in has been difficult. I am getting my gases out and I pooped today!!! So happy about that. Overall I feel well. The gas x strips help some. I take two at a time. *hugs*
  9. I'm okay. Still have the gas pain but it's easing. How are you feeling?! Day 4 post op!

  12. Please tell me how to get rid of this gas pain. 2 days post op and omg. I've been walking and burping but I want it all out now. My surgery went well. Surgeon said I did great and he know I'll be a success story. I'm excited! But please what can I do to alleviate this gas real quick? Help!

  19. I have 2 weeks until the big day! I have been on my pre op diet for a little over a week.. and so far have lost about 13 pounds. It's been rough. Very rough. But I am sticking to it as much as possible. I am in the process of finally getting my cpap machine. Hopefully that won't be an issue for my surgeon if I miss one night with it. I am nervous. I have been denied and the delay in getting my cpap to being approved thanks to my surgeon for rallying for me and my cpap being shipped today. It's been a looooong journey to get to these 2 weeks before surgery. I am excited but nervous. I am glad that I have the support of my family and loved ones. I try to keep those who aren't supportive at a distance. lol don't need that type of negativity in my life. But as we get closer... my nerves and anxiety are on edge. Have any of you all felt this way the closer you got to your surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
