belching

please help with ideas...just had surgery on 11/14 and all went well, I'm home now...BUT trapped gas in my shoulder and right above rib cage...followed by chronic belching...ideas to rid myself of belching...I walked all day at hospital and here at home...

Gas X strips. I'm six weeks out and still have trouble. Try doing side bends. Also make SURE you sip liquids! I never realised that I was gulping before and it's a tough habit to kick. I would have killed to be able to burp just after surgery!
