I'm going to Toronto for my surgery and I'm curious how many of you would have been able to go shopping and explore after surgery? My surgery is on the 18th and I have to stay the night in to hospital then I have to stay in town till the 21st. I really don't want to be cooped up in a hotel while I'm in a new city.

Not me, but I wouldn't have been able to shop and explore before surgery. It will really depend on your general fitness level and how well you are recovering. You certainly won't be able to lift or carry anything and will need to be sipping something almost continuously.

You will find that you get tired really quickly, and you will want to sit down a lot because your midsection will start to ache. You won't last too long, IMO...at least not for roughly a week or so after surgery. You definitely won't want to be carrying bags or anything.

I did all of my normal routines the day after I left the hospital - which included grocery shopping, and taking my grandkids to the park. I did nap quite a bit the first few days, but I honestly felt great!

I could have easily. I was more tired than usual, but not anything a short nap couldn't mend.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
