Generally 5 days but you likely need to be taking stool softeners or Miralax or something. Call your Dr and see what they want you to take.

I didn't think I would need a stool softener but for sure I am taking them to keep things moving, Dr recommend them. constipation is no fun. Had my surgery 9/26
