12 days post op and hungry--normal?

Hi all

Sleeved on 9/7 and am feeling pretty good physically. I am on a three week post-op liquid diet (shakes, broth, and sugar free liquids). I did fine with the liquid diet the first week, but I'm finding now that I'm STARVING. I'm getting close to 64oz of Water and probably 50-60grams of Protein in my two shakes. I don't know if it's normal to feel hunger this early? I'm honestly, a little nervous that I'm hungry.

Thoughts appreciated.

Pretty soon you can eat puréed chili and bites of refried beans. Something to look forward to.

My surgery was 9/5 and I am so hungry I'm becoming deeply depressed from starvation and not being able to chew and swallow- I literally can't think of anything else... Any advice out there? My doctor still has me on just liquids :-(

We sipped lots of low sodium broth, and SF apple cider packs. Seems warm things helped a lot. I think the biggest hurdle is keeping busy and stop obsessing about the hunger. I walked the mall because I hadn't shopped in years, and stayed clear of the food court. In no time you will be tasting and measuring and planning. We spent Christmas alone in 2013, sipping chili. Happy as two peas in a pod!
